Brain Damage, Part Two - A Bit of Borin

Here we go, the first of several "extra bits" for the big long bit about Brain Damage, this one focusing on several bits done by surrealist illustrator Borin Van Loon...

Van Loon's contributions come in two flavours - collage and more "traditional" work. Makes this an easy-to-structure post at least. Even if he wasn't such a good painter, Van Loon's collage work would easily let him classify himself as "good at art" - they're like the comic equivalent of Terry Gilliam's Monty Python animations, a bit. Here's three of them:

Harry Wharton Buggered My Tuckbox??!

The Exquisite Corpse Will Drink New Wine

And my favourite one, Videocrime - I'd hang it on my wall if I could:

The OTHER thing Van Loon did for Brain Damage was a series of adverts for the Mail Order Mutations company, appearing in nearly every issue:

For more Borin-based fun, his website's as good a place to start as any - there's loads of his collage comics there, for one thing.
